One Piece Live- Action series in the making |The Geekery|

The adventure of the aspiring pirate king, Monkey D. Luffy, will soon set sail to live-action series. Announced by Weekly Shonen Jump editor-in-chief Hiroyuki Nakano at One Piece's 20th anniversary celebration. The series will be produced Tomorrow Studios together with with Prison Break executive producer, Marty Adelstein and ITV Studios. They will also be the one to handle the live-action adaptation of another classic anime, Cowboy Bebop.

Many fans are very skeptical about this live-action treatment since Hollywood has a bad record of making anime adaptations. With over 800 anime episodes, 13 anime films and more upcoming manga chapters, Hollywood will definitely get a hard time making this. Eiichiro Oda, One Piece creator, is expected to release a statement regarding his involvement in the adaptation.
